I've had a few decent wins playing poker online. Biggest was £1400. The tournament started at 10pm. I think there were 652 players to start with. It must have been around 5am when I finished. What a buzz. I finished 3rd. It was a great feeling watching the money shoot up a hundred quid or more at a time as players were knocked out on the final table.
Although the most satisfying win I've ever had was from a lottery scratch card in the mid 1990s. I'd just moved to Leeds. I went to Morrisons to do a bit of shopping. It was a few days before pay day and I only had £20 on me. Two tenners. I had to get some change for the shopping trolley so I went to the kiosk to break a note. I don't know why I decided to buy a scratch card but I did. And I won £50. Talk about good fortune. If I'd had a quid to put in the trolley then I wouldn't have needed to break the note at the kiosk.
Randomly guessed a pub quiz bonus question answer & we were the only team to get it right. We got £200 & for one night only, we ate & drank like kings.
I won a tee shirt from Hitachi online. It was about hard discs and when it arrived it was all squashed into a very hard round hard disc shape. It was a few years ago and I still wear that tee shirt. It's too big for me but nice to flop about in.

Haha, yeah the thread will probably get moved to Chatter. :p
Nothing in terms of competitions though, only attraction tickets and stuff, no holidays or cash
EDIT: I won a Psion YEARS ago playing the online games on Sky, that was fun
I only ever put 6 lucky dips on if it's a rollover.
