It was in the Summer of '69
I got my first real six string.

Seriously, too numerous to place in a Top 10.
    Birth of two children.
    First grandchild last May.
    Second in January.
My wife and I have travelled extensively together in the last 15 years.
But, as I get older, littler things start meaning much more.
Today I had lunch with my wife, my son and daughter and their OH's and my granddaughter.
It was my sons birthday and it was lovely.
    I paid, of course :(
    :)

It's not happened yet to me either. I have some good moments, but nothing 'perfect'...

Probably when I took full ownership of my business. I was just really happy I could do what I knew needed to be done without somebody (understandably) living in the past and doing it the way it worked 15 years ago stopping me.

No one really stands out. There have been some really good ones but no one I'd say was the best. I say this as an unmarried childless person obviously.

My 21st birthday in New York with my parents.

Getting into University (previously I dropped out of education)

However I am sure there are many best days that I have not had yet.

The day my son had open heart surgery. It was both the best and worst day. The worst because not all babies survive the surgery and his doctor said that if he did die it would be either during the operation, or very quickly afterwards. So it was a very long and horrible day, but turned into the best day at approx 5pm when they said he was in intensive care and all had gone well. :)

The day I found out I was pregnant, my husband and I had been trying for a long time which resulted in IVF. When I got the phone call from doctors I was ecstatic.

And obviously the birth of my son and birth of my daughter two years after (she was a suprise) :)

Birth of Son No 1. I'd been told the odds of conceiving without all kinds of drugs and interventions were "millions to one". At 3 months, I'd had a miscarriage - turned out it had been non identical twins and I lost one, kept one. But I'd thought that was it, and got on with my life, resigned never to having kids. At 20 weeks it became obvious I was still having a baby! So like a double miracle to get him at all and that he survived the loss of the twin.

The night I had him I was only in labour for just over an hour, start to finish and it wasn't as bad as I'd expected.

Also my A Level results - I got an A in my subject (when As were not common) and a distinction at S Level. Not bad for a kid who went to the worst comp in my county. And got into my first choice uni which was a redbrick. Only 5 of us in my year - a 7 form entry school - got into uni at all.

Probably also the day I was first published in a magazine although tbh I don't recall it, now. I can remember going into Smiths and seeing things I'd done on the shelf and thinking "I wrote that!" It becomes like anything else you could do, after a while, but that first time it feels like an achievement.
