What would have happened if Wednesday's elimination had led to only two nominations?

It was all ready decided that two people were going. When they did the face-to-face nominations last week what would have happened if all the housemates had just picked Michael and Denise?

With less than 48 hours until the eviction they cpuldn't have added a new name the next day unless they didn't open the phonelines until they had a third or they erased all the votes taken so far,

    It is unlikely, surely, that MIchael and Denise would have nominated themselves, so at least one other housemate would have had nominations. That person, or those people (if they had not nominated the same person) would have been up as well.
