I love the song and love the L.A.M.B album but I disliked her during that era because of the Harajuku Girls that surrounded her like her little pets.
I somewhat agree with the poster above who said that she was the early Lady Gaga. Although I don't think she, as out-there as she is, would have "imaginary" girls accompanying her everywhere and base an image on it. I think I read somewhere as well that Gaga's surname is Stefani and that she/her label didn't want to use it because it would remind people of Gwen? I can't remember the story and don't know if there's any truth in it.
I loved Gwens solo career. What You Waiting For, Hollaback Girl, Rich Girl, 4 In The Morning, The Sweet Escpape are all flawless. And "Cool" is probably in my top 5 favourite songs ever.
