    3rd umpire saves Roy

Not sure if that is why he reviewed it though:p

Looked like he was reviewing on height as he asked Hales' opinion

And today an ODI in wintry north. English weather is just rubbish. It will be the death of cricket here.

I hadn't realised that they have moved Manchester as lots of people seem to be sitting in shirt sleeves in bright sunshine

You need to brush up on your trolling:)

That's Hales' fault more than anything, he should've seen better than anyone.

    Cricinfo's comment

    0.4
Starc to Roy, OUT, a low full toss, angling into the pads, and up goes the finger again! Blimey, it was a good case for using a second review in the over. The Aussies in the cordon were taunting him to "use it, go on!" but he didn't and it was a bad error! Hawkeye shows that was missing leg stump by a distance.

Seems like the aussie comments may have deterred them from using the review?:-(

personally i would say it was the umpire's fault given it was an absolute howler , hales shouldn't have been having to decide whether to review another mistake by the umpire within the space of a couple of deliveries

Think Morgs should go back to the Pavillion here and take some time out

Good decision to bring Bairstow out

Not a time to try and be 'macho'

he has the extra protection on the back of the helmet that has been added since the phil hughes incident , it did seem to hit him in a very similar spot, just behind the ear at the base of the skull

Just taken the shine off the game a bit that. Have to feel for the bowler too in situations like that

Spreads calling England runs at 280 - 290 with England to win by 7 runs

Not sure how important the toss is but Australia were slight favs before it was made

Spreads now showing 207 - 217 with England 27/3 and Morgan ret hurt

Think I will buy this position

    Lots of overs left

    Cricinfo summed it up well

Starc to Morgan, no run, yikes, now that is nasty! Morgan is in real trouble as he wears one on the helmet, a perfectly directed bouncer, but the concern on Australia's faces is genuine. The physio and doctor are out there giving him the once-over, but surely he'll have to retire hurt. It was on to him in a flash, and Morgan took his eyes off the ball at the last split-second as he ducked into it

As mentioned earlier in the thread, poor umpiring again

That looked plum in real time and shouldn't have needed a review

I wonder if we will continue with our attackat all times policy or play some more judicious cricket

Could end up with 300 or 125 all out...
