Sound issues when backing up to DVD

Does anyone know of any software that will enable you to choose a soundtrack when backing up recordings to DVD?
As many people have found, the files from the Humax contain additional information alongside the mpeg video (eg subtitles and other sound tracks).
Usually Ulead Video Studio 8 works fine and will burn the files no problem, however, sometimes it chooses the wrong soundtrack - e.g. on Ice Age where I had a commentary for the partially sighted but no dialogue. I know there are various work arounds, such as using Project X to split up the dvb file into video and audio streams, but this is a bit of a pain.
Is there any dvd authoring software that allows you to edit out adverts, create a dvd title menu and select which soundtrack you want? It is a fairly obvious requirement, but I can't find anything that does it all in the one application.
Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere - I have searched various forums and not found it yet.

Short answer to your problems is to use HDTVtoMPEG2 to convert the .ts to .mpeg: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=HDTVtoMPEG2 This allows you to select sound streams and cut out adverts...
As for creating DVD titles and multiple sound tracks, you will have to cash out and by a commercial product (DVDLab Pro would be one: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=DVD-lab_PRO).
