I don't think I can give my best, there's simply too many so I'll give 5 I remember playing a lot and enjoyed.

Super Mario 3 (although the previous ones were great)
    Sonic 3
    Mean Arenas
    Road Rash
    Final Fantasy Mystic Quest

I know I'll get shot down for that last one as it's hated by most FF fans but, I was young, it was the first RPG I'd played. It's what got me into more RPG's and is now my fave type of game.

I remember the young me going on to a gaming forum many years ago, describing how I'd played this game where you talk to random people, who tell you random things, then desribed the battles.

Someone said "that sounds like an RPG, you're gonna have lots of fun from now". I've played countless online and offline RPG's now. Just wish I had the time to play some of the online ones, not worth paying a subscription to hardly play one.

    Goldeneye N64
    Perfect Dark N64
    Zelda: Ocarina of Time
    Sonic the Hedgehog
    Super Mario 64

With the exception of Sonic, I was obsessed with the rest. If I'm honest, those were probably the games that got me so interested in gaming in the first place.

The amount of hours I must've put into Goldeneye, whether playing through the single-player for the hundredth time or split-screen multiplayer, must be utterly staggering. I was just obsessed with it.

Same here Goldeneye was such a brilliant game, i loved it my favourite level was the train, played it to death in single player mode but playing with mates was the best!

Perfect Dark was a bit of a let down for me, but the multiplayer was immense!

Pac Man, Space Invaders, Scramble, Defender. You had to go to an arcade and put money in a slot.

Oh and Gauntlet, Dragon's Lair, Pole position. And tons I can't remember the names of.

The SNES and Sega didn't get invented until I was about 20.:(:D

So jealous of my nephews getting them for Christmas when I was a broke student!!!!:D

I can think of four that stand out to me. In no particular order.

    1. Gta San Andreas (PS2)
    2. Crash Bandicoot 2 (Playstation)
    3. Rollercoaster Tycoon (PC)
    4. Mega Bomberman (Sega Megadrive)

Yeah, I'd probably struggle with a top 50 never mind 5.

BTW regarding your other post, I have played Cannon Fodder, was on the Amiga. I spent many hours on that too.
There's nothing that good about the game, nothing really unique or special but I'd happily play it again now.

Great topic :) It's surprisingly difficult to come up with just 5 games. I didn't have any of the main consoles growing up but I loved my Amiga 500 and had a Game Gear and played on my dad's ZX spectrum loads.

    My top 5 would be

    1. Superfrog
    2. Magicland dizzy
    3. Lemmings
    4. Sonic the hedgehog (gg)
    5. James Pond: robocod
