I like the name Patricia.
That's my middle name. Named after my mum. Hated it as a kid, but don't mind it now I'm older.
I babysat for a baby called Patricia once. It was such a strange name for a baby at the time. I quite like the name, but it just seems to suit people over the age of 50 more than a newborn...:o:o Or as a middle name.
why don't you come over Valeria....:o:D
Or dogs roll in.:eek::mad:
I'll be right there, Patreesh! :D
I won't let anybody call me Pat .
It's great that there is so much you can do with the name. I've known people called Trish, Trisha, Patty and Patsy. My friend hates being called Pat, it's always Trish.
Thanks doll
Oh, boo hoo.
The problem is theirs, not the programmes.
One of the things all new parents have to consider very carefully is what the name they select for their child will be shortened to in the cruel world of the playground.
On that basis, Patricia (Pat, Trish, Tish, Trisha etc) is far preferable to Scarlett (Scar).
Maybe the evil kids of Walford will dub the child Scar Tissue.
Emily, Alice and Sophie are nice names though and I think will last forever. Names like Beryl, Mable, Doris, Edna etc are all going to vanish forever as they just sound so out of fashion and I cannot see them ever making a comeback.
You never know, names like Molly & Ruby were extremely unfashionable twenty years ago.
That said, I'm struggling to believe Gertrude will ever be back in vogue.
