Could it be that this has been planned from about May 2012:

Simon planned for the 2013 panel to be Louis, Dannii, Cheryl and Sharon (or Nicole) as the judges. Simon is the 5th judge (either in person or by link from the USA) he comments, but only has a vote if it's deadlock (removing the viewers choice which I hate otherwise the judges are pointless).

Because:

- Dannii was mad to turn down her offer this year if the rumours are true. Unless she was playing this game!
- Cheryl would've known she'd be free after the GA tour and could be confident her solo sales would continue to plummet without the show.
- Gary would've known that he'd be focussing in TT (thank God).


Well, you never know...

    The panel needs 2 males and 2 females IMO. But i liked cheryl and dannii so hope one of them returns!

    Just axe it... it's past its sell-by date and had its day. Dunno if ITV has the balls but bin Syco.... it can't be that hard to come up with a gimmick-free and honest-to-goodness singing contest that's free of vested interests and interference?

    Very difficult. If it were easy everyone would be as rich as Simon Cowell! ;)
