We are the only species who drink another species' milk

There are people who think it is completely un-natural for humans to drink another species' milk.
Hence why so many people are intolerant to it because it's not designed for humans but for cows (or goats if you drink goats milk).

If there was a law to say you could only drink human milk would you give up milk altogether because the thought disgusts you or would you buy pasteurised breast milk?

So many people think it's a vile thought but when you think about it, we are the only species who drinks milk regularly from another animal's breasts.

We don't eat human meat, why should it matter that we don't drink human milk?

Cow milk and human milk both have lactose.... so the bit above is wrong. Lactose intolerance is genetic - nothing to do with drinking another species milk

Most milk intolerance in is due to allergy to cows' milk protein
This wouldn't happen if we drunk humans' milk.

You know, we are the only species to do a lot of things. That's what makes us so brilliant.

    Ants milk aphids for honey.

The aphids have a deal with them.
The ants decide to protect them from predators if they can have a taste of their sugar juice and they don't eat them themselves.

We milk the cows then eat them. We're not quite as kind.

Erm no, hence why some can intake drink goat's milk protein without getting ill but can't take the cow's.

There are numerous links on the web.

I have no allergy to cows milk protein.

Why don't you just campaign to inform those who do to avoid cows milk?

When cows were first domesticated, they were probably grateful to be protected from wolves and bears etc. :D:D

Do we actually slaughter diary cows for meat?

Told me not to listen to sanctimonious posters who assume that every site someone reads which doesn't fit with their knowledge must be 'strange'

Yeah but would they continue to drink from a cow's udder if you didn't put it in their bowls.

We slaughter the male calves they produce. And the milk cows when they get too old to produce any more calves.

Leaving aside the cruelty of factory farming for milk production - Dairy farming is big business. Other than
plague and illness etc theres little chance it will ever
    cease.

I thought it was bad for them? Something about lacking enzymes to digest it properly?

Ohhh... look at you! No need to get all pissy just because you posted something dodgy.

Anyway, interestingly north european caucasians are least likely to have the condition where as black or asian people will probably be intolerant. Thats why lactose free milk isn't stocked in huge quantites in stores here... although the increase in immigrants is changing that

It won't cease because we have become so accustomed to drinking their milk and as you say it's a big business and where there's business there's a lot of money.

Having strange thoughts now of women having their breasts out milking them into buckets.
