Eggheads BBC2 - have I been watching repeats?

I am confused.I became a fan of Eggheads about 3 months ago. Today I find out the episode I am watching is from 2007!
I have also noticed CJ seems to have long hair/short differing week by week and also Vine is sometimes presenting then Dermot?

Please explain.

    Jeremy Vine started presenting some of the shows when Dermot moved to Sky in 2008 and they started making "Are You An Egghead?" to get extra eggheads in.

    Basically look at the titles. If it has 5 eggheads at the beginning you're watching 2003-2007 episodes.
    If it has 6 its 2008-2009
    If it has 7 its 2009-2010

    There are over 600 episodes now, so they're bound to put some into repeat.

    They've been repeats for a while but the new episodes start tomorrow.

    Thanks both. I had no idea the BBC repeats gameshows. I kind of assumed it would be a bit pointless, like repeating a football match...people know the result. I am wrong.

    I noticed the exact same thing earlier when the question about which Chinese year it was! Felt totally cheated to find out it was so old!

    Didn't they do Eggheads in HD for a while late last year? I know the last Are You an Egghead was in HD.

    Daft repeating them. Questions are out of date. Sven manager of Man city and Mark Hughes still at Blackburn!

    Then they should really put the original airdate on screen at the start of the programme and/or when such questions are asked.
