I buy easter eggs as soon as they go to half price or two or three for a fiver. Same with Thornton's Bunny's and chick's when they go to half price at £4. I buy them instead of getting a large bar of galaxy each week. It's just chocolate in a different shape.
For some reason there's always a big rush of people buying them one or two weeks before easter. Stupid time to buy them because they've gone back to full price then, occassionally more.

yeah, that does usually happen, especially like now when the large bar of galaxy is £2 and that's 390g, a bunny at half price is £4 with 250g of chocolate.
Selling easter eggs should NOT start til at least two weeks before easter. There is overkill by shops to promote stages of the year ie christmas and easter long before the day itself

I saw this show years ago where they melted a egg down and showed that there was less chocolate in a £10 egg than a 30p bar
