I am enjoying this show, but in essence its just a very very long episode of Criminal Minds.

Given up,and I soooo wanted to like this. KB is the only one in this who can act, and both him and us know it. And James P has signed a 7 yr contract, which I know doesn't mean anything per se, but does the network really believe 7 yrs?

Just watched episode 3 which was good but why wouldn't they have search helicopters looking for the wife after she ran off into the night? And, being as they are dealing with a cult, why wouldn't they treat her as a suspect too? Ridiculous. Hope they don't have too many things like this or I won't be watching anymore.

None of that made any sense..surely the FBI would be ripping the house apart looking for evidence, not taking the wife back to stay the night with one agent, who, decided that he's in an 80's horror movie and goes into the dark garden after hearing a noise.

Yes, it's getting a bit silly already:(

I think the series haas been very good and I have always said that Kevin Bacon is underrated as an actor.

Agreed. I'm really enjoying it. Can't believe Kevin Bacon is 54!

Pretty much sums up how I feel.

The big problem for me is that Carroll is a smug little creep with no charisma and his followers are mentally deficient or utterly fruit loop. I mean, you are America's most wanted to you go to a convenience store and kidnap the stock girl? Then bring her back to your place? Stupid.

The 'bad guys' being so stupid makes the police look stupid beyond belief.

Whether or not they believed wifey was in on it, they should have worked on that assumption. And if she wasn't in on it, she would be a target. So why the hell go home? Why not a safehouse or motel/hotel with a full security detail?

Why are they not going through everyone that ever visited Carroll in prison? Or through the logs from the internet sites he went to?

Meh, I was hoping it would pick up after a reasonably good episode last week but really it has gone a bit down hill. I'll give it another go or two.

Re: Stock Girl - The mentally deficient/ breakdown part was kind of the point

Re: Wifey being put in full protection? Give over - If the police put everyone related to anyone dodgy in to protection they'd never get anything done

Re: Prison logs - they've already mentioned that they are - but names have been changed. Pay attention

For me the main problem is the shows "image". It's trying to give the impression that the writers are as talented as those behind Mad Men or the Sopranos, but increasingly it all comes across like an episode of Bones or NCIS LA. So we end up expecting more than the makers can deliver. If this was on Sky 1 or Living i think i would enjoy it more weirdly enough!!

My wife likes it, but I can't see how they strech it out. Either they have new 'followers' popping up at random, or change the game somehow (maybe with JP escaping again or something).....

    PMSL That told me:D

Its still poorly written, poorly paced and (mostly) poorly acted dullness.

I'm enjoying it so far, but 7 series:eek: No way.

I don't really see how the channel that it's on affects things:confused: It's on Fox in the US which is hardly a highbrow channel.

I'm glad it is not just me that is finding this too drawn out. It just seems to be going round in circles and getting nowhere. I fast forwarded some of the last episode.
I cannot see how this will make one series let alone 7.

I know i'm not explaning myself very well..What i'm getting at is that Atlantic is the UK channel that specialises in the very best the USA have to offer, consequently, anyshow that isn't in the same writing league as Mad Men,Boardwalk Empire etc immediatly sticks out like a sore thumb!

However if the Following was on Sky 1 or Living, where the other shows are basic "crime of the week" procedurals then the Following would stand out among them as being the better made show, and i'd probably be more forgiving of it's flaws because i'm not comparing it against the "best" of Atlantics output.
If you know what i mean:D

I like this show but already I'm starting to feel a little bored by it all. I do fear it will be a series of increasing near misses as they hunt the little lad which will start to stretch credulity. I do hope I am wrong.

Actually I know exactly what you mean and I think your spot on. The channel and the way it was heavily trailed left me expecting something better than we actually got.

I am also loving this programme but don't think it will last for 7 series.Agree with some of the others on here that KB is great but JP is a bit creepy,i wouldn't be following him thats for sure. Wish they would hurry up and find the little lad, don't like the way they are showing him how to kill the bugs.

Exactly!! But then again i suppose Sky can't really make trailers where the voice over guy says "S'alright s'ppose, passes an hour...wouldn't stop in for it though":D

I'm still enjoying it although its getting a bit silly, why do they keep going in without back up, where were the helicopters once they identified the location of the farmhouse, why is the wife so stupid and how did the lawyer not realise she was reading a message? KB is ace though and worth watching for that alone so I will stick with it.

KB is absolutely wonderful in this, he makes up for the storyline being a bit weak, I will carry on tuning in as long as he carries on acting his socks off.

This is really dragging now.... just move on past the storyline with the boy in the house.

And FFS will KP not learn that he never saves anyone! I fully expect Megan to die now because he said "I will be back for you"... most people he tries to save die (except his sister).

I hope they move past the Joey story next week and we start to get a bit more of... well i dont know what, just something!
