Most are possibly fans of Carol Kirkwood, but who are others favourite female weather forecasters/presenters. I know here in Ireland many love Jean Byrne and I often tune into BBC Scotland in the evening and love to see Gillian Smart and Judith Ralston. ITV’s Laura Tobin and Sky’s Nazaneen Ghaffar also puts a smile on my face.

Judith seems to have been dropped, at least from the evening news slots.

    Hard question.
"Too many of them from which to choose" and they seem to come and go.

    But I'd say Kerrie Gosney.

I like Becky, she always manages to be so bright and cheerful even when delivering the most horrible weather >:(

Although she no longer does the weather, Gemma Humphries on Meridian used to be one of my favourites - always talking about 'spits and spots' of rain.

Alex Dolan for sure. :) With her long curly hair.

Nicola Rizzini was great. :D Easy on the eye and very friendly on screen I think she left to have a baby so I'm missing her.

Rebecca reminds me of Sophie Ellis Bextor.

    Not a Shefali fan then?

Lucy Verasamy is by far the best.

Living in the Anglia region we've had quite a few lovely presenters over the years (most of which have been mentioned in this thread as they've moved on to other parts of the country!)

Clare Nasir 96-98 (BBC Look North)
    Becky Jago 98-01 (Anglia Tonight)
    Becky Mantin 01-05 (ITV National)
    Wendy Hurrell 04-08 (BBC London)
Rachel Mackley 10-11 (BBC South East)
    Amanda Houston 09-14 (ITV Meridian)

Of course Clare also spent 10 years at GMTV and Becky had a stint on BBC Newsround before coming back to Anglia. I believe Rachel also made newspaper headlines after someone complained about her tight fitting top.

Yeah, I like Wendy - has some lucky so-and-so got her pregnant?

Think you mean Elizabeth Rizzini and yes, she left to have a baby, Kaddy-Lee Preston is due in the next couple of weeks and Georgina Burnett is due in February so there must be something in the water at the BBC...

Don't know about her top but some of those dresses she wears are really tight... even to the point you can tell when it's cold in the studio
