* Multi-window, allowing you to have 2 apps on screen.
* When you plug your headphones in a variety of audio apps of your choice all come on screen.
* Automatically tag a picture with the weather, date, and location.
* Facebook Lock Ticker that means you'll now be able to see your Facebook News Feeds on your lock screen.
All features just added to the Samsung S3. Useful features, not "slightly bigger report button".
One of the most useful S3 features i've found is Direct Call, which calls the person if you hold the phone to your ear. Maybe thats patented though....?
I can't installed this update as my iPod keeps telling me it cannot connect to the internet to verify the update, even though it has already downloaded it!

* Camera, Best Face: The problem with group pictures? Somebody always, ALWAYS blinks. Well, Best Face is your solution to that. Best Face takes 5 consecutive pictures and lets you choose the best face for each person among those shots.

Not all exactly groundbreaking, however the best face thing sounds very interesting, I'm sure apple will invent their own version of that soon The iPhone can tag weather, date and location on pictures also, this can be seen in the iPhoto app.
But seriously I don't really see where any of the smartphone companies can go next, most of the stuff at CES just seemed gimmicky.

That happens sometimes when demand is high, normally happens on day 1 of new iOS releases, just keep trying.
Found another odd iPhone 5 only feature I think... Folders can hold 16 apps!
That is a feature of ios 6, ios 5 allowed 12. Sure the 4s running ios 6 allows 16 apps inside a folder. My 4s can hold an unlimited amount of apps inside a folder. (memory and jailbreak permitting)

Well according to the Internet the 4S can still only hold 12 apps on iOS 6.
Wont it be proportional like the number of rows of icons you can have on an iPad? The iPhone5 got a fifth row of icons on the the home screen, so how many rows did the iPad have originally?

So?
Presumably there have been other iOS updates adding more features.
And incremental point increases to Android that haven't added a bunch of bigger features.
I think all OS developers including Windows and Android are probably finding it hard to "invent" new groundbreaking features. I mean what else can they add to the software really?
Like I've said above, Apple are probably saving any new features for iOS 7 so it isn't just another dull update like iOS 6 was.
I think this view is quite common amongst iOS users. But honestly so much has happened on the other platforms I think you'd be surprised.
I dont get the endless debate about android and ios, if you like it you stick with it and use it, if you dont like it you move onto something different, why moan and groan about it? and im not pointing fingers at anyone here, im just making a general statement as i see this everywhere on the internet lol.
Anyway, whos actually done this update? did you notice/like anything new? any issues?

was expecting some issues seeing as everyone will be hammering the servers back at Apple HQ lol but its only taken about 30mins to download over 900MBs worth of update(going from IOS5 thats why its so big)

Being an samsung ace 2 owner, I know exactly how you feel.

Ok i wasn't sure, so i am probably wrong.
not probably wrong, definitely wrong.
Might update my ipad and iPod when I get in.
12 apps in a folder on the regular sized iphones and ipods.
20 on the iPad mini.
I guess more on the iPad?
I assume so. I just wanted to join in the fun
Has no one got an iPad?

He wasn't making a general point. He was responding to a specific post about the reason for the small update being that iOS is as good as it can be.
When really iOS has a lot of room.
Anyway, whos actually done this update? did you notice/like anything new? any issues?
