I do enjoy watching take me out.
But obviously most of it is all staged..

Anyone been on the show or heard anything about this..

I would imagine that ugly people would not even get anywhere near it..

So I need not apply..:(

I wouldn't say ugly peoplle don't get anywhere near it, they do have a few eccentric guys each series. But obviously it does help if you're an attractive cocky young fellow who looks like he could be a TOWIE member.

My friend was on the last series. She seemed to have a great time socialising with everyone and on facebook you can tell some of them have stayed in touch. I think she regretted going on it though. It was highly edited but I don't think it was staged.

I only watched a few episodes of the first series and a girl on there was a model for the "Chat with girls in your area" advert models..... At the same time as it was being broadcast.

In answer to why I thought it was staged..
You don't see many ugly blokes on there., if any...

i know if I was to go on I'd have a total blackout as soon as I came down the lift..

Just think, of the humiliation you'd get from people you know.. work would be a nightmare..

With respect, that is not the definition of staged.

'Selective auditioning' to choose only good looking participants is one thing, and I've no doubt that happens, but 'staged' is something else entirely and means that the outcome of each stage of the show is already known before anything even starts. At least one person on this thread has said that they know someone on it who said it is 'highly edited' but not 'staged' - that is, there is still random chance of who ends up (or not) with whom.

Well the show is pre-recorded and so was the advert. A lot of people on TV shows have agents and often get small TV jobs on reality shows, adverts etc.

I know that but it sort of suggests that a lot of them are not the ordinary girl on the street but sent by agencies then doesn't it?

Paddy said in an interview if they don't pick someone within a certain number of weeks they get kicked off. They fill out a card beforehand so the types the girls are after are definitely gonna come down the lift.

You might be a lovely guy but honestly, you sound like a complete jerk. You've mocked someone for falling down the stairs and suffering public humiliation (the fact you still remember it speaks volumes), call him a moron and laughed that he went home alone. Can you not see how this makes you look to strangers? It's not good...

Spaniel-lover pointed out the boys on the show need to learn tact, you could take something from that too.
