The free games would be good if they weren't taking them off you if you cancel your membership. Sony won't be getting my money for that reason alone, as other than that, PSN+ sounds good.
I don't see the problem, you just don't cancel your membership. Just remember 360 users face a far worse dilemma and they get sweet FA for there money!!!
It is going to depend on the software that is available with this. The us blog has some details up now. As Gillyallan said the psn game is wipeout HD, I have it but if you don't that is a good deal. The full game trial is infamous. Again I have this. They also list some minis and PSone games.
I do like the sound of beta and demo access but if the eu service launches with titles that I already have then there is no point in getting it until the next months batch of games are announced.
okay, if I transfer some PS One classics (available via a PSN + sub) on my PSP; how does my PSP ever know whether my subscription is still active or not??
The US offering is so much better, they get 3 months free instead of the acient LBP which most people have already.
Also they get Qore included which is $25 anyway, so not much more for those already subscribing, whereas we don't get first play.
Sony neglecting its biggest audience yet again.
I'll sign up for the US service!
My PSP is assigned to an US account, let's hope, PS One classics and minis work, like they do for individual purchases.

Maybe you'll be required to link PS3/PSP together or take the PSP online once every few months to keep the games active?

they will probably have a time lock on them and every time you connect to the internet it will check if your still a subscriber or not

With a PSone Classic if you replace a certain file in the PSone Classics directory with the same file from another PSone classic that you have purchased to keep then it inherits the DRM from the purchased PSone classic
It looked awesome didn't it!! I can't wait to give this a go. A digispy clan is definitely required:D
I agree 1000000000000000000000% about a DS clan
I had no idea a new Twisted Metal game was on the horizon so when I saw it at E3 I got excited and I was saying to myself "OMG Twisted Metal! Release day purchase is a must!"
The EU PSN store needs serious improvements as in a lot more content to even consider subscribing to PSN+.
I don't know if it's SCEE's fault or the decision by SCEA or SCEJ on the matter when it comes to content being made available.
I can understand that most PSone titles needs work to bring out for multi-languages but if Firstplay can be UK only then surely they could bring out US PSone games to UK/Spain areas and bring out the other version for other territories within Europe later on.
Mind you, still unsure why the video PSN store is lacking for rentals. Most of the new stuff is buy the movie and not rent it. I have a feeling the likes of Sky or other rental companies could be limiting just what SCEE can supply on that one.

The video store has a helluva lot more titles to rent than the Live marketplace. Stop moaning and be thankful we at least have it

Regarding PSone classics: It's cost and licensing issues, pure and simple.
US: One country, one language (well at least one version) and bigger market to recoup your costs.
There are also licensing difficulties for a lot of titles to sell them again in the EU area.
I have a PS3 and XBOX 360, i can justify paying £40 a year for XBOX Live considering what you get for that money its actually worth it!
PSN+ on the other hand with its current lineup is NOT worth £40 a year! And in fact, isn't worth paying for at all!!
What do we get on Live that is worth £40 a year? Nothing. PSN+ will have alot more offered for your money then Live does. Live doesn't give you jack tbh. On PSN we can still play online for free but on Live we can't. That money for a Live sub allows you to play online but what else?
apparently this "automatically looking for patches/demos and FW updates" happens every 2 days.
ie. leave your PS3 on standby and every 2 days it will turn itself on and look for updates to download.
Just thinking for folk that play on a daily basis they will probably find they have to sit through the torture of game updates still but guess it helps with games you play less regularly.

well, I guess so then. It's like a online rental service.
I have lots of PSP purchased games via PSN. Of course that's on my memory stick forever to keep, with backup downloads available on my account.
I hope PSN+ offer some of the newer content.

particularly on a custom PSP.
Oooo that could 'sway' me to try PSN+ too. Loved Twisted Metal on PS1 and really liked the look of the new one at E3 so would love to be in that beta.

Definitely, absolutely love Twisted metal, day one purchase for me

So if Sony dropped the free online gaming would you pay?
