Which platform did u get it on? Apparently the Cerberus Network codes from the PS3 version have expired, so if it's a new copy you miss out on all the DLC you should have got.
Just brought a copy. Loving it so far. Number 3 comes out in march is it possible for me to complete it before then or is it to long?
Easy. It's not insanely massive and open like Skyrim.
I've played it three times so far, with each playthrough coming in at around 40-50 hours. That's with doing everything - main story, side quests, loyalty quests, DLC...
Core mission is somewhere between 30-40 hours, and then you have the DLC on top which probably doubles that again. Either way, definitely possible to complete before ME3 comes out.

No way! I've done all the core missions, all characters (including Zaaed and Kasumi), all loyalty missions, and all the DLC except Overlord, and I'm on 20 hours. Another 10 hours and I'll have finished everything including the DLC.
Started it a week ago Will have it done in two weeks. I played it on PS3 so was shocked to find that Kasumi, Shadow Broker and Overlord were all DLC.
His Loyalty mission is always one of the very first missions I do each time I play.
Because if you save the people he isn't loyal.
And I will be unlikely to play again for a while - just got ME from Steam so will need to play that. Pity there was no game data transfer as I had to use motion comic

I always choose to save the workers, and yet I still get Zaeed to become Loyal to my Shep every time
If you save the workers instead of let Zaeed have his revenge, you just need to Charm him in the final dialogue to still gain his loyalty (blue dialogue line, pointing out the mission is more important than petty revenge or something along those lines). I can't remember how Charm/Intimidate worked in ME2... I think the ability is based on your Paragon/Renegade meter (whereas in ME1 you actually put points into it as a skill IIRC).
I will admit I like the default John, and I have already got him set up with a partner when that comes around.
Partner... Mission or romance?
For missions... I almost always took Miranda and Garrus with me, except for those missions where I had to take someone else to gain their loyalty (or of course the first missions where you're stuck with Jacob).
For romance... I always play as a FemShep, due to 1) Jennifer Hale's far far superior voice acting (IMO) and 2) the usual third person crossplay excuse of "If I have to stare at an ass all day...". Sadly though FemShep cannot romance Miranda (although I suppose if you have it on PC it can be modded), so the only action my FemShep ever has is with the Normandy's resident space-****, Ensign Kelly Chambers... that is of course until the Liara DLC "Lair of the Shadow Broker" which ends with my FemShep and Liara "getting to know each other" again.

Romance - but I do rotate all of my other characters for missions, but tend to Garrus, Miranda, Zaeed at the moment.

Got a source? That shouldn't be allowed if it's a new game (shouldn't have an expiry date)
Edit: Just checked my leaflet, and it expired January 1st 2012
That's sucky
I can't remember but The Cerberus Network DLC can still be purchased for those who's code expired right??
Does this mean more paragon points and less renegade points?
Got lots of paragon yet didn't get paragon option after Jack mission so had to deloyal her, (prefer Miranda).
Best way to max out your paragon is to select the top right option for ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. Hit paragaon interrupts. Hit Paragon charm options. Do side quests to earn Paragon points. I also always do Jack, Samara and Tali's missions very last because a satisfactory outcome relies on having top charm values.
Who is the second slot for on team thing, I have all the others filled?
BTW
Favourites
Garrus
Miranda
Zaeed
Kizumi
Grunt
Dislikes
Jack
Meh
Mordin
Jacob
Others to be decided
If you only have one left, I'm guessing that it's
Legion
(who totally rocks, btw)
I agree with your faves and dislikes, although I'd add Jacob to the dislike list. He's ME2's equivalent of Carth/Kaidan - BORING AND ANNOYING. Still, at least he didn't have the same voice actor as those two had.

Unfortunately Zaeed isn't loyal - nasty mission that
Zaeed is a pain in the backside

Main campaign is more like 25 hours.

You just need a high enough Persuade/Intimidate.
Very interested - what do you do?

Yep. Ability to Charm/Intimidate someone in ME2 is based on the Paragon/Renegade scores rather than separate skills as it was in ME1.
I'm not sure how high the meter needs to be to gain/retain someone's loyalty after doing something they don't like.

Mordin as "meh" though? Mordin's awesome!
