Do you think Simon Cowell will ever become MBE/OBE/Sir

Personally, I do feel like he has done a lot for the entertainment industry.

Well no less than what some of others have done.

Do you see that happening?

By the way I remember when he was first famous and it seemed everyone hated him as we weren't use to insults like that but now it seems he is highly respected .

He's done a lot alright.........of damage. He's the last person deserving of an award, unless it's 'worst dressed'.

Maybe for services to the advertising industry but entertainment? Not really. And definitely not for anything remotely music related.

I don't personally think he deserves any kind of honour, but he'll probably get one. But like Brucie, he'll be made to wait until he's in his dotage. Hopefully.;)

If he does receive an honour it will be because of his charity work.

Surely it's the people buying the pap music who are responsible for that?

If he gets an award, it will degrade the whole honours system which is going downhill with all these people from showbusiness getting honours.

He doesn't deserve any award whatsoever.

He did put up £50k towards the £150k that was needed for Johnathon King's release so a bravery award instead?

Why not? The whole Honours system is a corrupt, archaic joke of an institution so making this berk a knight would be of no surprise.

His personality doesn't portray Britain in a good light, usually actors get awards for being internationally recognised and praised (winning Oscars for example). As stated above, he could get something because of his charity work, but doubt it will be a titled award (so an OBE for example).

Seriously? Did he ever say why?

Edit - I found this. He says he does regret it and hasn't spoken to King since http://www.contactmusic.com/news-article/cowell.-.i-wish-i-hadn.t-helped-paedophile-king.
