Just wondering if there were any Abbott and Costello fans out there. For me they were a very underrated double act.

I loved most of their films but my favourite is Meet Frankenstein, although Meet Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and Hold That Ghost are brilliant as well.

I don't remember much, but when I was about 8 or 9 I watched a few episodes on VHS and I found it was really funny.

I will go as far as saying they were better than Laurel and Hardy.

    Underrated indeed.

I really liked them any time they were on TV and I have just bought a boxset, for £10 from HMV, of 8 of their films and will be watching them over the next couple of weeks.
First one on the agenda for me is 'Meet the Invisible Man'

Yeah that's a great one as well, think I have about 20 of their films.

Another fan here! My Dad always watched them as opposed to L&H so consequently I was brought up watching them. I also have the box sets and Hold that Ghost is my favourite.

Yeah Hold That Ghost is a brilliant film, I always preferred their films with a horror theme.

You have GOT to check out Who's on First - simply one of the funniest routines in the history of comedy. :D

No they weren't, and I say that as a fan of Bud and Lou.

A long career from just one good 8 minute routine.

I have a soft spot for them but, the films were just formulaic, crass and dumb.

Not fit to lick the undergarments of L&H .
