I think if you miss one you're at the back of the queue, Rooney missed the one against Pool so he was probably not first choice.

Well that was much like how things should be, fantastic second half, and we still haven't had an opponent score past us, almost the perfect second half, if only Hernandez had scored that pen!

All too easy tonight but that's how I like it.

Nice to see Rooney not only scoring again but his 8th I think was said hat trick.

Still maintain we need another striker.

Memphis is such an exciting player.

I wonder who is next in line now then, Schweinsteiger?

I think Young takes penalties too.

If so, ideal draw I think would be PSV, us, Olympiakos, and Bate.

With the hardest being, Bayern, ourselves, Roma, and Wolfsburg.

Bayern and Wolfsburg in the same group, eh?

Oops my bad, I was just thinking of the hardest teams in each pot, swap Wolsfsburg for Zagreb.

Or swap Bayern for Barca, then having Wolfsburg out of pot four becomes available, and would make the group very hard indeed.

Good thing Herrera stayed on after all. Took him a while to get into the game. He's much better in a midfield three.

I hope that Herrera now stays in the team for the trip to Swansea, he is a superb player.

Oh and I love that pass by Schweinsteiger for the 4th goal, hopefully we see more of that in the coming games as he settles in.

There are several potential tricky combinations.

As for easier groups, i'd prefer the likes of Malmo & Gent from Pot D over Bate due to travel distance.

Yes I can see where you are coming from, which would be the group with the smallest travelling distance for us?
    PSG, Sevilla, ourselves and Gent?

Rooney was first choice, he decided to give the penalty to Hernandez.

Not sure. You should work it out using googlemaps and then get back to us.

I'll be happy with whoever we draw. Can't say I like patsy groups. Prefer at least one fixture with a bit about it.

We're not winning it anyway, so i'll take the toughest possible group all day long. Come through that and confidence will be sky high.

That was a classy pass. He has that in his locker but first tiem he's showed it with us. More please.

That was a nice touch. Pity Chico's wasn't.

Wind your neck in. How empty would the United trophy cabinet be if SAF had thought like that?

I remember last season LVG saying something about there being a system where you go to the back of the queue if you miss one.

RVP took the one against West Brom and missed and Rooney missed one against Pool a few weeks earlier.

I think it was Mata who scored the last one against Palace last season.

I wonder if he would have got the honour if he had still been on the pitch tonight?

Haha, unless we sign Bale, Muller and Neymar, then it ain't happening this season. Saying that, Van Gaal responded to the reporter after being asked about possibly facing Barcelona or Bayern in a months time with "they won't want to play us". Brilliant.
