I like finding recordings of very old electronic music and listening to them.
I also have a blog about a rather obscure aspect of motorsport.

I made a clock out of paper and a glider from balsa wood and tissue paper. These days I nurture saccharomyces and stare at the stars.

The Archers scares me anyway so crossing it with Lovecraft won't do much to it.

    And shouldn;t that be:

"I write The Archers/HP Lovecraft crossover farm fiction."?

i've got a complete original 'silver age' set of Silver Surfer plus all appearances in 'fantastic four'
plus other complete series like 'the new gods' and 'the forever people'
i haven't actually looked at them in years

i've also got quite a lot of 00 and n guage track and stock including rather too many points / motors
although i've never built a layout since childhood

these days i answer questions on a few coding forums

    rather mainstream these days unfortunately

used to be you had to spend time with sudo but these days i've got a box attached to the telly with vanilla ubuntu on it that just works, there's no challenge any more

it's got so bad that you can even do a hackintosh with almost no tweaks, just drop in the right kexts

A few things that might be regarded as 'geek' interests.

    Astronomy is my main hobby..
I'm a very active visual observer - I co-founded my local 'Astronomical Society', run it along with the other co-founder, and regularly give talks on various astro-related topics - Also do a regular "What's up in the sky this month...?" spot on local radio...

Kinda related to that, I collect optical instruments - I have about a dozen telescopes (4 of 'em get regular use), 20-odd pairs of binoculars, several cameras...
Microscopes, photographic enlargers, a couple of sextants, jewellers' loupes, rifle sights, a builder's theodolite.... a huge accumulation of lenses, eyepieces, etc.... and have recently been given a reflector gunsight, as fitted to WW2 fighter planes.

I build scale model aircraft (pre-jet era mainly), and sometimes ships.

Oh... I also do a bit of Geocaching when the weather is reasonable - It involves the use of a GPS unit, and gets me out walking more than I would otherwise.
