New "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer due online today
Star Wars Celebration kicks off today in Anaheim, Ca, with a panel headed up by JJ Abrams, at which it is strongly mooted that one of the "surprises" will be a showing of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer.
The event starts at 10am PST (6pm BST) so look out for it being uploaded sometime tonight with a bit of luck.

The shot of the crashed star destroyer at the start was very nice.
Yeah, you never see that part in these films do you ?. I think the only other sci-fi film that's ever showed the aftermath of the big ships crashing is independence day.
Harrison Ford looks rather spritely in that shot. Makes me wonder if he's had any CGI "smoothing" done ?
I wasn't thinking that when I saw Peter Mayhew limp on stage with a walking stick a few minutes before I watched the trailer. I wonder how they shot it with him being in such a bad way.
The live feed was great. Anybody watch it?
Why would he? He was already over 200 years old in the last films. Another 30 years is nothing to him.
I didn't go to see any of the newer movies at the cinema but I will go see this. Looks very promising.
I didn't catch all of it, but did have a chuckle when Carrie Fisher said about playing with her when she was plastic.

Excited to see the Battlefront footage tomorrow too!
Suggesting that his father, aka Anakin Skywalker, is around...a very good chance he will appear as a Force Ghost now, as he did at the end of Return of the Jedi.
I just replayed it and you are correct, wonder if Vader is still alive
Was he? I don't recall them mentioning his age. I'll have to re-watch the original trilogy again.
Would he have been able to appear in his force-ghost form at the end of ROTJ if he was still alive though?
The Luke voiceover is taken from Return of the Jedi; the scene with Luke and Leia at the Ewok camp to be precise. Hence the reference to Vader in the presence tense.
Edit: found the scene http://youtu.be/MDYX_PgorRY
