  Kevin is now always held up to be the perfect father and yet when they were first introduced Kevin was trying to 'escape' from Dean and Carly to jet off on a round the world trip, Carly was about to get married which I suppose took care of her welfare but what about Dean? where was he supposed to be living? he was only about 17 or so
