Is it unusual not to know what tea bagging is?

Just curious. I was introduced to this metaphor earlier not knowing what it meant. I've just looked it up on google. I'm in my 30s. Do you think my friends will think I'm odd not knowing what it means?

Not really, it's pretty niche after all. No real reason to have come across it.

Most gamers are familiar with the term.
They've been tea bagging each other for years.

Something to do with ultra-conservatives in the US, isn't it?

I first heard about this on Graham Norton's old Channel 4 show, when I was about 15. So I learned about tea-bagging quite early on!

You'd have to be from space not to know what teabagging is.

Is that where you lived before you knew or were you born with this knowledge?

A rugby player informed me what this was in 2004. They do it all the time. Straight, apparently.
