It was. I was expecting far worse!!:D:D

You can't blame them for spending the winter in Tenerife though can you? I was there recently and was talking to a couple who live there now and they never use any form of heat. It does rain from time to time but never gets cold enough to have heat.

Our winters are so miserable and long that it's looking tempting.;-)

I can't believe people actually found this programme funny. I thought it was cringy and tacky.
I'm mainly talking about that Pete man, let's face it all he was was a sad old alcoholic, but because he lives in Tenerife it's 'funny'. I thought he wouldn't look out of place on Jeremy Kyle.

Chavs are chavs at any age. Don't get me wrong I don't have an issue with older people drinking and letting their hair down but falling out of clubs drunk, talking in a disgusting way and generally having no self respect is just tacky, at any age.

The old guys blonde girlfriend was disgusting, no class at all.

This was crap, I was literally watching the clock every 2 minutes waiting for it to be 10 so it would be over but kept watching as the adverts looked like something mad was going to happen.

It was so hyped in the press and on adverts and it was nothing more than old people go to the same holiday resorts as young people. Big deal, I don't need a TV show to tell me that.

None of them behaved badly, they actually behaved quite sensibly but let their hair down like anyone does when they have a drink.

A lot of killjoys here, as Pete said his life was miserable in the UK which is why he went to Tenerife. If people want to have fun and the only people brawling were the youngsters why shouldn't they ?

It didn't seem like his life was much better over there. He's a sad, lonely alcoholic that hates his job and can't go a day without drinking. It doesn't matter if it's in the uk or Tenerife, your life is what you make it, not what country you live in.

If he was working in the uk and spent his lunch break drinking to the point he can't talk without slurring would it still be seen as 'having fun'?

It has put me off ever going to Tenerife. That old man thought it was hilarious to get a male stripper in for his daughter's birthday party. The whole thing was embarrassing.

A good laugh all round really. :D

Surprised to see Leapy Lee still around at 75. Seems to have managed fairly well though he only had a 'one hit wonder' with Little Arrows back in 1968. The Danish girlfriend is mega trouble though. If she doesn't finish him off in bed, her jealousy issues will send him nuts!

Is this the same series being shown on Channel 5 now, March 2015? It's billed as a new series, but I'm sure I've seen it?
