It's impossible to choose a favourite episode. Although I do like the one where Richard and Hyacinth go to the hotel where Richard is to play golf with the Major, and Hyacinth bugs that elderly couple. Also love the one where they give Mrs Fortescue a lift into town
The coffee scenes are great "Do sit down Elizabeth. No not there dear I like to face the window"
One of my favourite scenes is when Daisy informs Onslow (who is glued to the telly) that because he doesn't give her enough attention she is going to have an affair and move a man in.
Onslow (without looking away from the telly) says. "Good - make sure he's handy so he can do some jobs around the house"
One of my own favourites is where Onslow is eating a bag of chips in front of the telly and shares one with the dog : the dog bites one half off the chip and Onslow eats the other half

The scene in series 1 or 2 when Elizabeth mouths "no not there dear, I like to face the window" is as funny as...
The episode set in the hotel is good, especially when the occupants of room 210 include Hyacinth's sister, Rose!
The whole series is brilliantly written. Hyacinth's singing to Emmet is class. Patricia is actually an excellent singer.
I love those scenes and Emmet's complaining "she'll sing at me, she always sings at me" Love the way he has to hide from her when she comes out the door!
My favourite episode is the QE2 episode. Where Hyacinth and Richard run around the whole of QE2 looking for Daisy and Onslow who they think are stowaways (Onslow in fact won a competition which included dinner at the captain's table!)
I must have watched this at least 20 times and it just seems to get funnier and funnier each time! Pure comedy gold.

Michell Close in the Stoke Aldermoor district of Coventry was the location of one of the houses used. Actual house number was No.3 I think. Google Streetmap link here:

Gosh, that place (Onslow and Daisy's) was a dump. Do you know whereabouts in Binley was Hyacinth and Richard's house?
For those eagle-eyed, used to be a very grotty scrapyard at the back of Michell Close. Its all been cleared and landscaped now. My own postcode is CV3 2PP - not too far away.
The other houses were filmed at 117 & 119 Heather Road, Binley Woods, Coventry according to this website:
For those using Flickr - here is a picture of the slightly narrow (and slightly creepy) rail footbridge a short distance from Michell Close (Onslow's house in the show):
The area of Coventry known as Stoke Aldermoor, where this is located has another claim to fame. In the film The Italian Job - the mini's driving in the tunnel scene, was filmed underground during the construction of a large sewage pipe for the 'Sowe Valley Sewer Duplication system'. This lies underneath the housing estate.

thanks:)
I think he described himself in one episode as "workshy, bone idle and out of condition!"
No, there were just the phone calls he made to Hyacinth and Richard always got mad 'cause he thought Sheridan was asking for money all the time.
