I am not as far advanced as a lot of the pros here, but I am on book four, Gs Masks for Goal Posts, after finishing "Unbelievable: from my childhood dreams to winning Olympic gold", by Jess Ennis, "Pep Guardiola: the biography of a football manager" by Guillem Balague, "The secret Olympian: the inside story of the Olympic experience", by Annon, and "The goalie: my story", by Andy Goram.

I have loads of other books that I am looking foward to reading including,:-

"Back from the brink: the untold story of Manchester United in the depression years, 1919-1932", by Justin Blundell,

"Eddy Merckx: the Cannibal", by Daniel Friebe,

"We are the Damned United: the real story of Brian Clough at Leeds United", by Phil Rostron,

"Kickups, hiccups, lockups: the autobiography", by Mickey Thomas,

    "Duncan Edwards" by Leighton James,

"Diaries 1969-1979: the Python years", by Michael Palin,

"Halfway to Hollywood: diaries 1980 to 1988", by Michael Palin,

"Running my life: the autobiography", by Lord Coe,

"The lost babes: Manchester United and the forgotten victims of Munich", by Jeff Connor,

"Roger Byrne: Captain of the Busby Babes", by Ian McCartney,

"Viollet: the life of a legendary goalscorer", by Roy Cavanagh,

"Mind Games- Phil Jackson's Long Strange Journey" by Roland Lazenby

"Red Auerbach- An Autobiography" by Arnold "Red" Auerbach and Joe Fitzgerald

"ESPN The Company" by Anthony F.Smith and Keith Hollihan.

    "Steve Jobs" by Walter Isaacson.

That will do me for a good long while! :D:D:D:D

Very good set of books. Just a little bit different with very good characters.
Had a slow reading month for me. I'll hopefully catch up and make the 213 target.

No idea how some people seem to have enough time to read more than a book a day:confused:

    2) Tortilla Flat - John Steinbeck
    3) Seconds Away - Harlan Coben

Guess it depends on your lifestyle. I don't have kids - my friends who do have children never seem to have a minute to themselves. I also spend over 2 hours commuting and read then and also don't sleep long hours. It also helps that I am a fast reader

Love that book - also loved the 80s tv series (Richard Chamberlain, Rachel Ward) based on the book:)

I sort of enjoyed it and sort of did not. Not sure I enjoyed it enough to find out what happens in the next book in the series:confused:

My TV is broken so I am having an intensive reading weekend and loving it! Might not rush to get it fixed!

    45) Wrong time, wrong place - Simon Kernick

not sure if its "cheating" to count this as I discovered its a "quick read" of just over 100 pages - but I have read some 600 plus page books so I suppose it averages itself out

    46) Worm - Mark Bowden

started this a few weeks ago and struggles with it but persevered this morning. not sure I understaood it all though :(

    16. Plague by Lisa Hinsley. Really good read, about an English family caught up in an outbreak of the bubonic plague. Quite gory and it doesn't pull any punches but only 77p for Kindle. My only complaint is I want to know what happens next! Really hoping for a sequel.

    17. The Burning Air Erin Kelly. Fabulous twisty page turner. It's set around the MacBride family and their annual visit to their second home in Devon for bonfire night, this year being the first since the mother of the family died. Add to it a missing baby, someone with a lifelong grudge against the family, and some dark secrets and it's un-put-down-able!

    6. Breathe - Sarah Crossan
    7. The vintage teacup club - Vanessa Greene
    8. Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn

I really struggled to read the first half of gone girl but I'm glad I stuck with it. The second half was much faster paced and exciting.
