I don't hate her. She's infuriated me in the last few months - particularly in allowing the awful Lurch into the home of her small children before she knew the first thing about him.
I think she's an unhappy/angry woman, and that she should deal with that before she embarks on any further "relationships".
A period of relative quiet from her would be appreciated, honestly.
What I don't like is the way she and her very clever former management (who are still doing an excellent job for Peter Andre) turned her from a fading glamour model to a Barbie pink princess living the life of a fairytale who loves horses and writes for children (well, okay, but she did 'come up with the ideas') and shows little girls and young women that they don't need to be clever at school to become a very , very rich and end up with their Prince Charming, all you need it the right shaped body and even if you don't have that, you can get someone to buy you one.
And it might have worked to a level of wealth and fame beyond her wildest imagination if only she had had the Barbie pink fluffy temperament to go with it.
Even us talking about her on here is showing an interest, thus a public demand for her good or bad, wanted or not.
Can't you see the public love or loath feed into people like Kp, Kerry K, etc. We may not like her but there is an interest. The fact you are talking about her now with me shows an interest, if you didn't care (either way) you wouldn't reply, you wouldn't post, you wouldn't read.

Great post. That sums up my opinion too. I hate the fact that young girls look up to these talentless, unpleasant women. But that's probably a rant at how the Cult of Celebrity has eroded genuine ambition.

I believe Fred "the shred" Goodwin is also incredibly rich. If we use the KP supporters arguement, that money means you should admire her, then surely they must also admire him. He came from a background just as "humble" as KP.

The word 'hate' is an extremely emotive word; dismayed with her attitude may be better.
We prefer to use an analogy; earlier this week, two ladies, both similar in age have been in the news. The first is Katie Price, a mother, single with children, supposedly wealthy, to some people she is their heroine. The other lady is called Christina Schmid, a war widow, who last Tuesday, with dignity, paid tribute in an eulogy to her 'warrior' husband.
Katie Price, we are sorry, we do not admire you. She is so self-absorbed in herself, that she has become a parody of herself.
Mrs Schmid, for the rest of her life, will still show the courage and dignity that she has shown since her late husband was repatriated.

I have it on good authority from a friend in the entertainment/music biz that it is genuine.
They played the "actual" studio recording "live" on the show, but gave Pete and Krusty a live mike as well, but turned the sound way down, it makes it look as though they aren't miming.
This is the voice track which shows what they were actually singing, which of course the public did not get to hear on the night. He is in tune and sounds OK, but she is woefully awful......PWICELESS!!
I never looked up to any celeb, my daughter likes KP, but she can separate "celeb" from the "real world", i hope I am her role model along with other women around her, eg Grandmother, Aunties, teachers etc!!

Katie & Peter: Unleashed A new series titled, Katie & Peter: The Next Chapter Down Under Katie & Peter: Stateside What Katie Did Next, which showed Katie's life/career after her split and eventual divorce from Peter Andre.
I had all of the episodes of each of these shows specially recorded onto VHS tape. I recruited a team of 15 science graduates who cut each and every piece of tape into one inch squares.
The team were then tasked with putting all of the pieces into a plastic storage box, the pieces were then shaken vigorously for 1 hour on a specialist piece of equipment.
The students were then asked to take out any piece of tape in any random order and rejoin them. This took several days to complete. We then put all of the tape back into VHS plastic casings and inserted the tapes into a battery of VHS video players and guess what.
We got exactly the same programmes as the originals !!

Okay, back on track: To the OP, I don't hate KP but greatly dislike her attitude and behaviour. I felt a lot of what The Squire wrote was spot on. As long as people buy into the rubbish thrown out in the name of KP and her ilk she will attract readers/viewers. Why are the GBP so willing to put up with such dross?
Personally for me I don't hate her because that is a strong word but she irrates me and gets on my nerves a lot. I think basically it's because she needs attention ALL the time. When she split up with Pete I would of had had more respect for her if she had taken herself away with her kids and just had "Katie" time, instead of parading herself in front of every photo opportunity saying how she doesn't love him any more and that she's over it and she's moved on (sorry but if you love someone you don't/can't turn that off as soon as they walk out the door regardless of how much they hurt you). I think she is upset about Pete and that she does still love him - she goes on about him enough.
She needs to stop being in peoples faces - nearly every day I used to go onto DS home page to find yet another quote from KP regarding Pete or their kids or Alex - seriously it was KP overload and that's why she's irriated me and many others. She needs time out - like 3 months of no quotes to the press, no planned paparazzi shots, nothing. She needs to calm herself down and I know she said during the Ant & Dec interview that she's been a "twit" but whether she really thinks that or has been told to say that to difuse some of the negative perceptions of her I don't know. If she truely believes that she's been a "twit" then she needs to take that forward and learn from her mistakes and not continue in the same vein as what she has done for the past 7 months.

This is what I dont really get as a 'reason to dislike her'. If the 'kids' wanted to look up to positive role models then surely they could admire Holly Willoughboury (Whatever:rolleyes:) or Fern Cotton or any other of the squeaky clean young ladies in our 'Celeb cultured life'! But there is also room for 'other' celebs who can entertain us with their car-crash antics!! Jordan fills this gap nicely! If people want Holly and Fern dolls and books im sure they could. Its just Holly and Fern are as dull as they look!! But! Hey!! I dont make the rules!!!:D
