Could he just c&p the one to which he wants to respond and add his own [ quote ] and [ /quote ] only remove the gaps Or just use the quick reply box and say 'Bertie - ....' 'Kitty - ...' etc.
Alternatively, he could try using really really bad language
Getting heartily sick of it now. One tends to think of flu as a heavy cold but I can now totally understand why they do flu jabs.
