Is Jane free 10am to noon?

The best chemistry of any female joint presenter of his by a wide margin.

Yes, Anita Anand had an attitude of "get with it, old man" and all Aasmah Mir could do was giggle.

Hopefully not. She's quite dull and average for 5 live. A great broadcaster but I don't think she sounds great on 5 live at all.

At least it's only a one-off; I couldn't stand her smug complacency and female chauvinism when she was a regular.

What "male chauvinism" (if that's what you were trying to refer to)? Name an example where a male broadcaster on radio has made an overtly sexist or derogatory remark about women.

Read my text. I was replying to a boarder who mentioned "female" chauvinist...

A classic team that set standards for 5 Live that some of the current crop of presenters cannot even begin to dream about.

This is lovely news. Also that Peter Allen is being held aloft as the doyen of BBC Radio Five Live's daytime lineup and co-hosting different shows across the week. It is nice to see Five Live celebrating experience and will be brilliant to hear the old Peter and Jane double-act back, albeit for one night only...

They are giving Peter Allen MORE shows on 5 Live?? Jesus wept! The guy is awful. His voice makes me want to slit my wrists, he's so up himself it's unbelievable. Still, if he's getting off drivetime, that's good.

Steady on. His dry miserable grumpy old man act is quite funny on drive but let's not get carried away. Lol

I dont think you'd dispute the vast majority would swop Victoria Derbyshire for Jane Garvey.
