i recommend getting a dog also, far better than scrawny cats. dogs have rights, if you hit a dog with a car you are legally obliged to stop and assist. if you hit a cat, you dont. say no more.

That states "any animal" Is there not a definition elsewhere that actually tells you what animals apply though? I mean people are killing squirrels, hedgehogs etc. all the time, there is no law which says you must report this to the police.
