Another casualty of the internet, and a sad loss for us movie reference guide fans (and I know there are a few still out there). Leonard Maltin has said that the 2015 edition, published on September 2nd will be the last.

I bought my first in 1975 and still have every edition since - I wonder for how long the Radio Times Film Guide will keep going in this internet age?

Used to buy them religiously but haven't done so for over a decade or more. I'm surprised they're still going to be honest, thought they'd died ages ago.

And the Time Out guide which ran from 1989-2010.

In America, Maltin's guide was a long time rival to Steven H. Scheuer's "Movies on TV" which ran from 1958-1993 (and was the first of the regular film guides).

"VideoHound's Golden Movie Retriever" is still going.
