Star Trek (2009). It's shame the rest of the film didn't quite live up to the first 10 mins.

I quite like Heat because the music is quite eerie and then a short while after De Niro gets off the train the music becomes quite tense.

I know it's cheap of me to like this but the whole intro to 'Blade' is fantastic.More than anything I think that is a master class in movie editing

Alien, a very simple sequence yet so menacing
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
and we have to have Bond when it comes to title sequences so I'll go for Goldfinger, gold covered babe, John Barry score and Shirley Bassey belting out the theme song

Love the opening title sequence to The Rock, the music adds to it brilliantly.

In terms of title sequences, I think Catch Me If You Can takes it. The opening to The Lion King is also brilliant.

Raiders of the lost ark immediately springs to mind.

Have to say though, the lion king always makes the hairs on my neck stand up at the start. Pretty good for an animated film.
