For those that don't, how on earth do you warm up your food??

    BTW, I like that 'I don't know' option :D

I don't own a cooker, so I certainly do have one. Recently got one of those panini press doodads as well which doubles as a sort of hot plate to do other things on.

I'm asking because I saw James Martin asking one of his guests "are you one of these people who use microwaves", he seemed anti microwaves.

I also don't have one, prefer to use the oven, but considering get one to be "normal"

Have you got a square thing that turns hot when switched on?

    And no, not a TV.

Body heat? Just wear your food for a few hours.

Is this what it takes to be considered normal these days?

Sorry to tell you but I think you'll need more than a microwave to appear normal.

Yes, though it's broken and has been since October.

Haven't felt the need to buy a new one yet.

I use mine quite a bit particularly for porridge, milky hot drinks, defrosting, re-heating cooked and canned food.

Microwave is a life saver. I don't know how can anyone live without owning one nowadays...

Only use it for reheating leftovers, defrosting meat if I've forgotten to take it out the night before, and to warm up coffee that's gone cold. Use a conventional oven and hob for making meals.

Next time I see somebody floundering in a river I'll throw my microwave in for them.

Same here, you can heat pretty much anything up in it and also it's good for doing microwave meals whenever you either can't be bothered to cook or don't have time etc
