Recording My PC With a DVD Recorder

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone could tell me if this was possible or not.
I have my PC hooked up to my TV and i would like to know, would it be possible for me to record whats happening on my pc screen with a dvd recorder and then burn to disc?Thanks in advance for any help.
