Hi everyone,
I'm a cartoonist and my little boys love my little random drawings I do for them,
I want to write a book and illustrate it which i'm hoping will be finished in time for Christmas so I can read it to them.
Only issue is, I'm having a bit of a block and can't think of an idea so I know where to start!
Has anyone got any ideas or able to point out any decent websites that might be able to get me started?
Things like the elf that saved Christmas has been done.
Thanks in advance

You don't need to read them, in fact it's probably best not to if you want to do something original. Just use the precis as a kicking off point.
Lovely idea - all I could manage would be 'stick man in the world of rubbish drawings' ...:)
They all live happily together and no one eats anyone. Humans have to pay the animals admission to go look round and that pays for food to be brought in.
It paves the way for some lovely animal characterisations and names. And of course the kids are the heroes of the hour.
I want royalties.....
how about photoshopping photos of the lads, printing them out, and drawing your cartoons around them to illustrate a story.
They could act out bits for you to make photos; without knowing what it was all about until the finished book.
When I was little, I always used to write long novels etc and had a real imagination as I've got older it has gone.
I've been trying to get ideas off my boy's too as they have amazing imaginations.
I may end up doing a couple with some of the ideas you have suggested.
Thank you x
