Hi,

My family wants me to create a dvd so they can see all the photos and videos on the tv but when i create the dvd in Windows DVD Maker, it doesnt let me get the pictures back on the computer.

I would like to edit all the pictures again but cant do it like this.

I tried copying and pasting normally instead but it wouldnt let me play it on my dvd player as it said Unknown Disc.

Is there ANY way for me to play the pictures on a dvd player and be able to go back to them and edit them?

I would be grateful for the help. Thanks x

Have you deleted the original pictures that you used to create the DVD?

if you create a video dvd it's sort of sealed. It can't really be edited.

I'm fudging the facts a little but you need one for playing on your regular dvd player. And another to archive the picture.

Yeah thats probably the best bet...

I would obviously like to keep the pictures for back up, so maybe i should just keep the pictutes on a seperate disc if there is no other way.

Well you can add computer files to a regular video dvd that the dvd player will ignore but it's not completely straight forward if your dvd app doesn't offer this.

Its usual practice to do it the other way around.
Anything on the computer, in your example pictures, are usualy stored somewhere else in case the computer breaks.
im presuming the pictures on the computer are not the only form of originals you keep?

most modern TV's have sockets on the back so you can run a monitor lead from your PC.
If so, download FS viewer ,this finds all your photos & lets you edit, also has a slide show feature
