I am going to be taking some to a party and wondered what are popular and tasy fillings to put in Vol au Vents.

Simple but tasty recipes in your opinions.

Answers very much appreciated.

Can't go wrong with tuna mayonnaise!!

    Chicken in white sauce
    Prawn mayo / marie rose
    roast beef and horseradish

    They're the ones I'd choose!

Brie and cranberry is nice for Christmas or stilton and caramelised onion.

You could also use mincemeat and orange or apple again nice and Christmassy.

It may not be to everybody's taste, but I'm partial to Stilton topped with caviar.

    Well I was thinking
    Smoked Salmon and dill
    Mushroom and asparagus
    Egg mayonnaise with paprika.

Just thought I'd ask if anyone had some ideas on popular choices.
    Thanks so far.

Brie and cranberry is seasonal and vegetarian friendly (so I would suggest that, wouldn't I?)

I was thinking of an alternative. You can put the roast beef and gravy (thick gravy, more like caramelised onions) in a vol au vent case if you want but a mini yorkshire would make it more authentic.

Rice, peanuts, orange segments chopped up mixed in a nice garlic mayonnaise with a sprinkling of chopped chives on top. Tasty and ok for vegetarians....but not for nut allergies obviously!!

I used the deli filler pots (tuna n sweetcorn, chicken n sweetcorn, egg mayo etc) and found them to be very good. The best is of course prawns with seafood sauce

    Roast Wolf
For some reason that has squarely hit my funny bone and I can't stop giggling.

If roast wolf is unavailable in your area, you might consider chicken (or lamb) tikka.
