I went to France in 1995 with school. I've been to Jersey a few times recently but some might argue that that doesn't count.

18 years ago. On the way back, I discovered I'd developed a massive fear of flying.

Last year, July / August to visit a town in Germany where I was stationed when in the army back in the late 70's and see some old German friends.

Weather was awful, so much rain and windy every day.
Lots of nice German bier and bratwursts etc........... Bliss!

You have my deepest sympathy. I discovered that 30 years ago, have flown around the world (and probably twice, with all the other flights added up) and have been terrified for every minute.

Dream holiday in May - London > Bucharest by train stopping over in Paris, Munich, Vienna, and Budapest on the way.

    BUT flew back from Bucharest.

Last time I left the country I currently live in was August last year when I went to Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia and Russia and then spent some unexpected hours travelling through Shanghai.

It's been 18 months since I last went to the UK though.

I would never visit a European beach resort in July or August. Too hot and expensive. September is better, cooler weather (but still warm) cheaper and quieter.

I go as often as finances and work will will allow. Planning for Australia and New Zealand in the new year, but will probably manage a few long weekend trips before then. Last time abroad was a few weeks ago, Barcelona.
I would stay in this country more often, but it's so expensive (comparing like with like) and you can't rely on the weather. I was thinking of going to Edinbugh to catch some of the festival, but the train/hotel prices were exorbitant for a last minute booking..it would be cheaper to have a long weekend in New York.

September 1994 - trip to New York.

I suspect that was the last time I shall leave the UK.
