There's a big storm coming on Christmas Eve for northern areas. Some people are going to be without electric on Christmas Day. Hope it's not me.

    http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=map&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1387843200&regionName=ne

Only the North East, Yorkshire and Humber & North West England escape on Monday and Tuesday

So basically the opposite of the OP's assertion

Well Scotland isn't really the North is it? It's all but a seperate country

Northern Ireland again is hardly the 'North'

Hope it doesn't get too bad.

Seems December is a bad time in weather terms around the world.

Because everyone disagrees you or because you've predicted a storm for the North when the North of England is the ONL|Y area not getting a storm?

Listen, the last big storm thread I started you were on there saying the same thing, yet the next day you were on here saying you phoned the police about trees being down on the road. Storm denier!

I can easily find the aforementioned posts. ^_^

I didn't deny the storm at all. I said it was a normal storm for winter and yes I did call the authorities as it was a safety concern but it was not armageddon, it was winter in Northumberland.

It gets cold and windy...just not on Christmas Eve

Because they can, if it hits the North of the country then the media will be accused of not having enough coverage if it was only to hit the South then a mere mention of it will see many threads accusing the media of a Southern bias.

    "the st nicholas maelstrom"

and northern ireland and scotland will catch the edge of the main low, but it's the tailwhip that's the big concern that will cover most of the south
