If you want something classic and very creepy, try the classic Nosferatu, Eine Symphonie Des Grauens.

All of David Cronenberg's early ones - Shivers, Rabid, The Brood, Scanners (although that's his weakest film IMO), Videodrome, The Fly, Dead Ringers, Naked Lunch.

Dead End and They were good recent ones.

The best ones are probably The Thing, TCM (original but I also liked the remake and the prequel), Halloween, The Evil Dead trilogy and Nightmare on Elm Street.

I thought My Little Eye was scary in a way. Try to find a copy of the TV version of The Woman in Black - it's very creepy and frightening, one part in particular will have you screaming!!

I also like Last House on the Left, but it's not so much a horror.

Wolf Creek(Horror/Thriller if you want), and Last House on the Left(both versions) fall under the Horror genre. Horror isn't just supernatural elements. :p

I would put Wolf Creek fully in the horror category.

You could try The Nameless, Spanish horror from the director of [REC], nowhere near as good but it has its moments.

Why did you turn it off? Too scary? It's a Hong Kong film - very very creepy! I reckon it's the best of those far eastern horrors. Eye 2 is good as well. Eye Infinity is not so good though.
