Pre Production Stuff

On all of these reality tv shows as we know, they go see the pre-production people to see if they rate for tv.
It sometimes bothers me, that they purposely don't take really talented people in order to take the real crap ones because they know it will make good TV for them to be shown getting lambasted by the judges.
i know there is only so much room for the good ones but still.
I was watching a clip of Piers just showing behaviour which i abhor to a girl who was like the girl who one the American version a year earlier and accused her of being a wannabe.
I would pity a little girl who was as good as Connie but she got ridiculed for trying to be a copy cat.
