Does anyone remember Lost? No, not that Lost, the other Lost

It was on Channel 4 a few years ago (no, still not that Lost) it was about a group of people who'd never met before and found themselves stranded together and they didn't know where they were (still not THAT Lost).

So they'd be dumped in some remote part of Africa for instance with a tiny amount of US dollars and some vital supplies and the first team to get back to Nelsons Collumn by any means was the winner. Winners came back for the next challenge.

It was spoilt slightly by a guy in the second episode who kept going to Daddy for money - which wasn't cheating because it was by any means but wasn't really in the spirit of the show.

It only got one series but I've got fond memories.

I'd love it to be brought back, but they'd probably have to change the name...

Yeah, that's the one! Good times...

Didn't realise there was an American version.

The wiki page also mentions US series The Amazing Race. Doesn't sound as good but might be interesting, and had a few seasons. Anyone seen TAR? Worth a look?

The Amazing Race is one of the best shows on TV :) (albeit US TV)

Yes I saw this later on and thought some episodes (about 3) were very good. Apparently it wasn't put on at a very good time originally which hindered it.

Never seen the US version of this unfortunately, would love to see it still. Older reality shows are often very hard to find, which is a shame as they can often be more creative than most stuff now.

The Amazing Race is of course a famous US show which has been going for years and has been duplicated in other places too (though not here).
