Why would anyone want a t-shirt that combined the hulk and smash? a huge amount of the same fanbase?? possibly the most ridiculous idea I have seen for a TV t shirt.

Three regulars (possibly four) and one recurring aren't returning.

Bit of a kick in the teeth for the main cast that the only acting Emmy nomination is for Uma Thurman's guest appearances.

She needs to if the show is to have any remote resemblance to the real world! Not only is Ivy the obvious choice for the part in terms of talent and physicality, her mum is "Bernadette Peters" which satisfies the PR department's need for star casting.

Karen offers nothing more than a singing voice.

But i think they did show that... they showed everyone else believing and assuming it would be Ivy (everyone from Eileen, Tom, Bernadette... heck even Karen expected it to be Ivy).

It was however Derek's "vision" that made it be Karen and it was met with surprise and anger by many of the other characters. It was quite clear that it was not the expected outcome.

Quite a few new faces have been added to Smash season 2. Jennifer Hudson and Sean Hayes (Jack from Will & Grace) have joined the cast along with a few others. Very excited for season 2 Will be back in January.

But with Ivy as Marilyn, where could they have taken the characters in the second season? It'll be interesting to see what they do.Ivy's undeservedly hitting rock bottom - she's lost her part and her man. Karen has been shot straight to stardom without paying her dues. Amusingly X Factor-esque really!
This is interesting - I wonder what she is supposed to be, in terms of character? I get the impression that we are supposed to be rooting for Karen, she is the well known person in real life, and the focus of the story. In which case - is Megan Hilty doing a really bad job? If you are given a certain character but make them another way, have you failed as an actress? Has Katherine McPhee failed by making her character too annoying? i do think she has a tough job though - the wide-eyed sickly sweet new girl, not exactly a recipe for popularity,

I understand that characters are complicated and evolve. but i wonder whether this wasn't what they acutally wanted.
