Looking at the Kiss website, tomorrow has Kiss 101 showing the 100 breakfast show as being on, whilst 105 shows Xmas Eve Mix in the schedule, but no other changes

The Kiss website has a proper schedule? Where? I always found the list of DJs/shows not times etc (ie a proper schedule)

I wonder why 101 goes national (with breakfast) a day early.

EDIT: Found it! Why isn't it linked to on the site though? I only found it by "Googling"

Go to the bottom of the Kiss website, there is a sort of A-Z there, where you will find the schedule link.

EDIT : its at the bottom of the Kiss Home page under Quick Links then in the list under Music.

Ahh, I see. Bad place for that link though in my opinion

Jez Welham is also doing Kiss Friday (15:00-19:00) from tomorrow on Kiss 101 Making Today Reece's last day.

It's really odd that (if the online schedule is correct) 101 becomes fully national a day before Kiss 105. Or is Kiss 101 making such heavy losses daily that the sooner they cut costs the better?

On the Kiss 101 Facebook page it says today was the last breakfast show, on the 105 Facebook page, it says Friday, does seem strange both aren't finishing at the same time.

Although the schedules are all over the place with Christmas, usually the website says James in for Neev, but it just has James Merritt listed as if 12-3 is his own slot.

There is no sign of Will Cozens in the weekend schedule either, with James Merritt down instead.

Will be interesting to see if there are any schedule changes come January, and if the London based DJ's that were doing the 101 & 105 shows gets slots on the national version, considering James & Will were originally 100 DJs.

Word on the street is that Will may have got himself a capital new job in the new year ...

Maybe the changes are starting to be listed online. It could be that James is taking over Neev's show.

Yes, the only reference i could find to Will (Wec) is by hovering over Total Kiss. even then, it's only his picture

Things are certainly being updated, see (& hover over) the Kiss Never End Weekend on the Kiss 100 schedule

The link up with Ricky And Melvin on 101 was pretty poor this morning - it was not even carried on Kiss 100! Nathan was really saying how great Kiss National would be - sounds like he will be working for Bauer still.

Are the Bristol studios being closed? Still think 2010 has been a bad year for commercial radio got to blame the so called regulator.
Why would have the link up been carried on Kiss 100? God forbid if Kiss 100's LONDON listeners were told that they aren't going to have a LONDON station that isn't all about them anymore.

That is, if infact 'Kiss National' will actually be a truly national UK station, and not just a relay of Kiss 100 London to the Severn Estuary and East Anglia areas.
We all know, judging by events in the radio industry over the last few years, that London listeners are so precious they can't possibly have stations that are not all about them.

OK, so maybe I'm being extra sarcastic, and I totally agree with everything you've said 'our_kid_city' on these forums about the sad decline of 101 since the re-branding to Kiss in Sept 2006, but it's well known that the big commercial radio groups don't give a stuff about listeners outside of London.

That will be an interesting one, at the moment, the specialist shows on Kiss are very "London", with the likes of Grime and Garage, not sure just how popular genres like these are the more north you go.

I personally think, especially in London, where Capital dropped the 10pm mix, that was popular, that Kiss misses an opportunity by not doing a Kissmix between 10-12, considering all DJ Swerve plays is mainly the daytime playlist minus the dance/pop stuff.

FNK & SNK, needs to be more specialist as well, at the very least play the 12" versions of the daytime playlist in the mix, there isn't much specialist about playing the singles of Duck Sauce or Yolanda Be Cool, and with the addition of Kissalicious, there is a lack of any "serious" programming till Hed Kandi at 11pm.

I do like the daytime playlist, it is upbeat, with plenty of remixes, what i would like to see though is, some Kisstory tracks outside 11-12, maybe 2 an hour, and how about Kiss breaking some new music to the scene, from either urban stuff from the US, giving airtime to the likes of Dash Berlin from the Europe, or even giving daytime airplay to tunes of the week from their specialist DJ's (if the tune is suitable to be added).

So will there be anything local on 101 apart from the ads? I know Smooth Radio still do local news/travel in there FM areas.

Heard Reece do his last link just now and it struck me how sad it is that the station I grew up with from Galaxy 101 to Vibe 101 to Vibe FM to Kiss 101 is now just a relay of London station.

In terms of flicking the radio on to hear some songs I like, I can appreciate it's not going to make much of a difference, but it felt like my station when the presenters talked about stuff going on in Bristol, now all they can talk about is boring generic stuff like what X Factor contestants are doing.

101 is dead to me, now. I'm not interested in listening to the London version.

Yes it has gone - nice last link from Reece harking back to his days as Sticker Vicar - such a shame. I agree with matii70 - having grown up with this station enjoyed fantastic DJs on the way and now that is it absolutely nothing for the region and totally not in the spirit of the license that was awarded to Chiltern all those years ago.

Kind of ironic that Galaxy is closing too.

    Monday - Friday, 2am-6am
    Saturday (Total Kiss), 10-1pm
    Sunday afternoon, 1-5pm

    Affirmative that Will is joining Capital - Posted on his Facebook page this evening;
***Rising radio star Will Cozens joins 95.8 Capital FM as the station goes national in 2011!***

    Today is the day...

Listened to the Kiss 101 "chat" with Rickie, Belvin & Charlie yesterday. One thing that i noticed was they said Ricky & Melvin take over Kiss Breakfast from 4 January, but then what's gonna happen in the mean time then?

Also did anyone else notice Stu (Kiss 105-108) mentioning the regular Friday night lineup for tonight (FNK, DJ EZ etc.) and not The Christmas Eve mix as promoted on their website AND schedules?

Will try and listen to Lewis' show today. Who remembers "The Big Fat Mother Trucker"?

James Merritt gets shifted to the graveyard slots? WTF? Should have kept him on the mid-morning slot or afternoons. Can't stand Justin Wilkes, at least Merritt made the Kisstory hour worth listening to.

The Kiss website has now been updated. For example, on Kiss 105, Rickie & Melvin are showing on the carousel/slideshow for breakfast and Jez for Drive. Looks like the Breakfast show is now "Rickie, Melv & Charlie In the Morning".

Was Kiss 105 Breakfast the last show local show on 105? I thought Lewis will be on for the last time today.

Yes it was. Michael Lewis finished his live drivetime show yesterday BUT he is on air on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and I think that's on the Kiss Network not just 105

He is? when? not listed on schedules? shame I so much wanted to hear him leave. I think Michael would do well with a network slot.

East boy, you're always moaning that there's not enough dance on Kiss yet you hate Steve Smart. You say you love Kisstory yet hate the guy who brought it back to kiss? You listen too hard :D

He was on the Never End Weekend yesterday.

I was recently reading some of the Kiss-bashing from 2007 when a lot of us were moaning about daytime networking, reduced relevance to the region(s) etc. It's a shame this seems to have become the norm for large commercial stations. In hindsight we were lucky that year to still have regional specialist shows!

Isn't it just an hour of old skool tunes whoever presents it?

They should bring back streetboy to present it and sprinkle in some of his crazy wind up calls. LOL! He was one bonkers guy! How he got away with some of them I'll never know!

Usually the same old tunes in a different order.

I'm not going to pretend James is the perfect DJ, but he's much, much more entertaining than Justin.

In fact, I'd choose anyone on the Kiss roster over Justin.
