When the people of the future are looking back at us now, what do you think it will be known as?

I'll go with The Elizabethans

Would they not use Windsor, as that is the Royal Household name

I'd say Windsors as there has already been an Elisabethan era

There was actually quite an emphasis in the press at the time, post-1953, of it being the "New Elizabethan Age" ;-)

I think they stopped naming the ages after royalty after Edward VII.

This age will probably be known as the Internet age or the Sh*t age.

As this is an age of luxury compared to the past, maybe the luxurious era.

I remember back in the 60s we used to say that we were living in the Nuclear Age and the next era would be the second Stone Age.......:o

Either the Digital Age or the Electronic Age. Something like that. The internet and other digital technology is the defining characteristic of our times. Even if they continue in the future, this will be known as the age it all began.

When you really think about it, it's so different from even just 20 years ago. I know the Internet was around then, but not to the extent it now is. It really is futuristic, the way in which we have the information and systems of communications at our fingertips constantly.

In the future there will only be two "ages" - one before The Event and one after The Event.
