Master and Commander - a film just crying out for a sequel and I always wanted to see a sequel to Where Eagles Dare with Burton and Eastwood causing more mayhem behind enemy lines.
Jeeper Creepers 3, which is mean to be a follow up to the first one with a revisitation of the sister who survived. It's been in the planning stages for years, but whether it will actually be filmed remains a mystery.
School of Rock where the kids become fame obsessed rock stars and get hooked on drugs and then have a depressing downfall involving barbiturates on a toilet
Like Rock of Ages meets Requiem for a Dream...
Rosemary's Baby. I'm curious about the fate of the baby.
Probably a successful banker by now.
I've never been a fan of sequels. The point of a good film, like any piece of art, is that it should stand alone. Of course, a sequel can explore a completely different aspect of the story or the characters of the original but very few of them actually do that, especially these days.
I did like the idea they had on the commentary track for the first film. From memory they made it to Alpha Prime and so did the baddies and it was pitched like an epic battle on the planet. It obviously wasnt the full idea but sounded good and different.
I always thought Three Men and a Bride was the next logical film, and last year Tom Selleck pitched that exact idea as well! I think it could be brilliant.
A Mean Girls Reunion film wouldn't work. As much as I wish it would, it wouldn't.
