Survivors Series Two Discussion Thread

There doesn't seem to be a proper thread for on-topic discussion of Survivors series two, which starts tonight on BBC1 at 9pm, so I thought I'd start one.

Whatever your thoughts on the series as it airs, post here. Please use spoiler tags if discussing spoilers for unaired episodes.

Have fun! :D

Does anyone know when else is it on? BBC site just gives the one showing and I can't see it tonight.

The late night showing will probably be "wavy-handed".

I like the quote in the RT:
    ...
It's all as barking as a kennel full of terriers...

    Should be fun!

They've slipped this one out on the quiet...

Shame I missed the last two episodes of series 1 and never got around to catching up, well I say 'shame'... :D I take it the annoying gobby mum has survived? I just hope "Johnson" has too.

Thanks Bean. I saw the mention for the 19th and assumed it was part 2. It seems odd to show it AFTER part 2. Why? No-one can ever catch up.

Maybe some thought went into the scheduling but I can't see it yet!

    What's 'wavy-handed'?

Unfortunately, yes. We'll get to hear her whine about bloody Peter a few more times yet.

Part 2 isn't on until the 26th because the re-arranged League Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Manchester United, postponed last week because of the snow, is on BBC1 on the 19th.

Wavy-handed is signing for the deaf. That late night repeat is in the Sign Zone.

    They find him this season:

I'm wondering how they've jumped from Manchester at the end of Series 1, to Birmingham in Series 2?

Like with all BBC productions these days there’s more music in them than in a West End musical. Nearly 15 minutes in an there’s been a constant, unremitting score underneath everything. Makes up for the deficiencies in the writing and direction nicely. Or at least that’s the theory.

Can anyone remember why the Max Beesley character has such a dislike for the blonde girl - I know she walked out on that factory guy in the 1st series & didn't leave the penicillin etc but I seem to remember that there was some other reason?

Yay there IS a Survivors thread!

It seems a lot more gruesome and stunt-filled than i remember. I guess that the first episode always has a bigger budget?!

Probably just saw it as a good reason to use the old ATV studios which were being demolished anyway. I did see the "Accident & Emergency" sign up there a few months back, and wondered why it was there.

    Now I know.

Did this episode start with a recap of what happened in the last series, or just straight in with Greg being rushed to hospital? I enjoyed the last series but I can't remember much of it, a full year gap between the two series certainly doesn't help either.
