Hello!

Trying to choose a honeymoon hotel, and I'm torn between 2, either this one:

or this one:

The second one seems to be top of the list on trip advisor, but I wonder if that's juyst because more people have been there. Would appreciate a few second opinions from you lot:)

Thanks!

I always use TA when choosing a hotel, it's a fab site.

Always take the reviews subjectively though, especially comments on food - folks have such different tastes and expectations. Obviously, if there's scores of reviews complaining about a particular recurring issue (eg. food, lack of cleanliness) then you can probably take it as read that it's more or less correct. If, however, there are only a handful of reviews complaining about something, I would take it with a pinch of salt.

I do read a lot of reviews and check out the travellers piccies for a good feel of the hotel but I also to look at the bigger picture. For example, the first hotel has a total of 282 reviews - 188 of them are either 'very good' or 'excellent' so that's a pretty high percentage of positive reviews.
The second hotel has a total of 179 reviews, of which 165 are rated 'very good' and 'excellent' so they're both really good hotels by the sounds of it.

They both look really nice, personally I like the second hotel. Only you can decide though which you prefer, as choosing a hotel totally depends on what you're looking for and what expectations you have.

Happy honeymooning, whatever hotel you decide on! :)
